The City of Armstrong is surrounded by the rural Township of Spallumcheen, approximately 20 Minutes from Vernon, British Columbia. The Township was named after the First Nations word meaning "Beautiful Valley" or "Flat Meadow" and "Meeting of the Waters".
The township's 22,000 hectares of farmland has given us a rich farming heritage which is complemented by our railroading history.
There is a lot to explore in the our peaceful, country atmosphere, including many lakes, trails and other attractions, such as the Village Cheese Co., O'keefe Ranch and the Caravan Theatre. The Armstrong Explorer Steam Train visits us from Kamloops during the summer
